I am Wil Koester and I am thrilled to work at the Roger Schuldt Agency and be a part of Compass Insurance Partners. I began working in the insurance industry in 1987 with Roger Schuldt, who was gracious in giving me the opportunity to be part of his organization. I then worked for Roger’s son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Christy, until they sold the firm to Compass Insurance Partners. I am thankful to all of them for helping me to succeed.

Helping my clients find the correct coverage for their personal and business needs is one of the most gratifying parts of what I do. I enjoy the interaction with my clients and find satisfaction in getting to know them better.

Farm related coverage is where I focus much of my attention. Federal crop insurance and crop hail insurance, along with farm owner’s coverage are where most of my effort is put. Having grown up on a farm and still engaged in farming personally gives me a first hand perspective of the needs of my farm clients.

I was born in Watseka and have lived on the same family farmstead almost all of my life.  I attended Illinois State University and studied production agriculture.

My wife, Diane, and I have two adult children. Bart, and his wife, Jami, and Erin, and her husband, Josh. We have 5 grandchildren, Camden, Lydia, Rose, Jacob and Elijah. We are blessed that, at this time, they all share the same zip code as Diane and I.

My family is active in our local church. It is a blessing that we get to see most of them every week when we attend worship.

My personal interests are church related activities and spending time in my woodworking shop.
