Hello, my name is Megan Stark!

I am an agent at our Fairbury location, and have been with Compass since early 2024. Coming to Compass with several years of insurance experience and a love for staying connected with our community, I look forward to working with families, farms, and business owners to guide them through coverage decisions to help protect their loved ones and assets against daily risks. I previously owned a business called Picnics by Meg (event planning), so I know how important it is to be covered adequately to protect your business and its unique needs. I didn’t grow up thinking “I really want to be an insurance agent one day”, but it didn’t take me long to realize that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. It is a career that allows you to bring a sense of relief to your clients knowing they will be protected from anything life might throw their way. I am very excited for the opportunity that Compass has brought me to keep growing in the Insurance Industry.

Most from this area may still know me by my maiden name, Megan Rafferty. My parents are Ryan & Carrie Rafferty. I was born and raised here in Fairbury, IL and graduated from Prairie Central High School in 2016. Following High School I obtained my Associate’s degree from Heartland Community College & then a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

Recently in December of 2023, I married my husband, Colin Stark. Colin is a Research Agronomist & also helps on the family farm. Outside of work, Colin & I enjoy traveling, spending time with our family & friends, and we like to get out to the golf course when we have the time. We also have 2 dogs, Izzy (Yorkie) & Fletch (Mini Dachshund) who keep us very entertained, they might be slightly spoiled but that’s what makes being a dog parent so fun!
