Hello everyone! My name is Dayton and I’ve been with Compass since 2011. I started with Compass as Agent where I’ve had the opportunity to build relationships with many local business owners, farmers, and families. I often tell people that what I love most about my job is getting to know people in our community and learning about what they do.

We live in a community that is filled with natural entrepreneurs and hardworking people and I’m always amazed when I get to learn more about the amazing accomplishments in our small towns!

In 2016 I joined the Agency’s ownership team. Over the past few years, I’ve transitioned into managing the agency. I work hand in hand with the rest of our leadership team to make Compass the first choice when people look for someone to help with their insurance. I’m passionate about looking for ways to add value to our customer’s lives, whether that’s through my passion for technology or finding ways that our agency can positively impact the communities we serve. Running a business has been a passion of mine since I was in high school, and I’m extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to do what I love.

I was born and raised in Forrest. After high school, I attended Illinois State University where I obtained a Computer Information Systems degree with a Business Administration minor.

After college I married my best friend Joni (Culkin). Joni currently owns and operates The Spotted Owl (clothing Boutique) in Fairbury.

Joni & I have 3 kids: Adeline, Lydia, & Eli. In our spare time, we love doing projects at home and at The Spotted Owl, coaching and watching our kids play softball, baseball, volleyball, football, & basketball, and traveling.

Our family attends First Baptist Church in Fairbury. Our faith in Jesus Christ is important to us. We enjoy being a part of our church congregation and being involved in as many ministries as we can.

We recently made our way out West in our motorhome which was an epic dream of mine (my goal is to model Clark Griswold as a father).
