Hi, my name is Virginia Ecker, the Customer Service Representative for Crop Insurance.

My background includes a family Hardware Store with an Electrical Contracting business.  My career at Woodworth Electric Shop lasted for 25 years until we closed in 2005.  This provided me with experience in the farming community and working alongside farmers.

From 2005 until 2009 worked for a Cardiologist and Dentist in Kankakee County and was thrilled to come back to Iroquois Co.  In 2009 had the opportunity to purchase a house in Cissna Park and become an employee for Compass Insurance Partners.  Originally hired to assist in the Accounting Department and acquired my Associates Degree in 2008. Since then have worn several different hats but settled into Crop Insurance in 2012 and earned my Property and Casualty License.

Outside of work:

• Enjoy spending time with family and spoiling my nieces/nephews. Plus have a great niece and nephew who are true Blessings from God.
• A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Woodworth, IL
• The ARC of Iroquois County, where my sister receives services, and I serve on the Human Rights Committee.
• Repurposing furniture. – Recent projects include painting/distressing a book shelf, table, and made doors for my pantry.
