Hello. My name is Jill Braun and I am a CISR Elite here at Compass Insurance Partners and have been a team member since 2001. My focus is strictly on personal lines – autos, homes, umbrellas and farms.

I was born and raised in Fairbury and came from a large family which has instilled in me the importance of family life. Our “extended family” makes it a priority to get together at least once year and, as of last count, this included over 80 family members (and growing) –  needless to say, we have outgrown our homes for these reunions and have resorted to park settings.

I have been married to my husband, Roger, going on 25 years and we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids (including 4 grand dogs) and we get together every chance we can. Fortunately, they all live right here in Fairbury so we can just pop into each other’s homes quite often. Roger is pretty much a “gourmet cook” so I am happy to let him do all the cooking at home and I take care of the other wifely duties – cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc.

Prior to working at Compass, I worked for 20 years at Fairbury Hospital as an Assistant to the Administrator. I also became an EMT-Intermediate and ran on our local ambulance service for 15 years.

In my spare time I enjoy scrapbooking and making all my own cards for every occasion you can imagine. I also do some woodworking projects and refinishing furniture.

I love taking our annual “top down/jeep vacations” every year and “winery hopping” across the country. At last count, we are down to 58 bottles of wine so maybe another trip should be in the plans soon.
